FAIRFAX, V.A. - Dade Moeller Technical Services, LLC (DMTS), today announced that it has been selected to provide staff augmentation support under a prime contract to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Operations Office (Aiken, S.C.). This is the company’s first Federal prime contract since its restructuring as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business in September 2007.
Under this contract, DMTS will work alongside DOE staff at the Savannah River Site to perform technical analyses and reviews on subjects such as nuclear facility safety, emergency preparedness, quality assurance, and environmental, safety, and health compliance. Other responsibilities will include the preparation of critical technical documents, such as facility safety analysis reports, environmental impact statements, and operational safety requirements.
The three-year, firm-fixed price contract has a potential value of $3 million.
In May 2008, National Security Technologies, LLC, awarded DMTS awarded a four-year contract to provide Radiological Control Technicians and Health Physicists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nevada Test Site. The contract has a threshold value of $11.5 million.
Both contracts will be administered from DMTS’ Augusta office, 3525 Walton Way Ext, Augusta, GA 30909.

FAIRFAX, V.A. - Dade Moeller Technical Services today announced that Chief Executive Officer Dade W. Moeller, PhD, CHP, has been selected to give the 32nd Lauriston S. Taylor Lecture at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) on April 14, 2008, in Bethesda, Md. Moeller's lecture is entitled "Yucca Mountain Radiation Standards, Dose/Risk Assessments, Public Interactions, Thinking Outside the Box, and Recommendations."
"NCRP is delighted to honor Dr. Moeller with this lectureship in recognition of his distinguished career as a scientist and public servant," said NCRP Executive Director David A. Schauer, ScD, CHP.
Moeller's contributions to NCRP span more than 40 years. He was elected to the Council in 1967 and became a Distinguished Emeritus member in 1997. He served on the Board of Directors (1978-1985), the Budget and Finance Committee (1979-1983), and three Annual Meeting Program Committees, including as Co-chairman of the 1989 program on "Radiation Protection Today - the NCRP at Sixty Years." Moeller also has served as Chairman of three NCRP scientific committees and as a member of six others.
